Red Heart Salad

Whether served for Christmas or Valentine’s Day, this salad is not only delicious, but beautiful with all of the natural red colors. It’s surprising how many different varieties of gorgeous red greens you can find to create this visually stunning salad.

4 cups loosely packed mixed young red greens such as red endive, baby kale,

chard and radicchio

2 cups chopped red cabbage

1/2 chopped red onions

1/4 cup dried cranberries or cherries

1/4 cup toasted walnuts

1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese

1/4 cup Black Cherry Dark Balsamic Vinegar

1/4 cup Herbs de Provence Olive Oil

sea salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste


Combine all ingredients into a bowl except for oil and vinegar. In a tight fitting jar, combine Black Cherry Dark Balsamic Vinegar with Herbs de Provence Olive Oil, salt and pepper. Shake to combine. Pour over salad and toss. Serve.
