You will need 1 cup of warm water, 7 tablespoons olive oil,* divided, and a 10” or 12” cast iron skillet or 9” x 12” baking dish. *We recommend Garlic, Rosemary, Tuscan Herb, Calabrian Pesto or a Robust Ultra Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Pour mix in a large bowl, add yeast packet (included) and stir well. Add the warm water and 2 tbsp of olive oil. Mix until dough comes together. Turn dough onto floured board and knead 8-10 times to make dough smooth and elastic. Use 1 tbsp to oil a large bowl, place dough ball in bowl and turn to coat in oil. Cover and let rise in warm place for 1 hour. Heat oven to 450°. Coat bottom and sides of skillet or baking dish with 2 tbsp olive oil, punch down dough ball, place in skillet, pat to the edges, and use your fingers tips to press indentations all over the top of the dough. Top with remaining 2 tbsp of olive oil. Cook uncovered in oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Top with fresh cracked sea salt or Parmesan cheese. Let rest a bit before cutting, serve warm!
